Partial Knee Replacements

These are offered to a select group of patients who have arthritis in the knee which is limited only to one part of the knee with the rest of the part of the knee including the ligaments and the  cartilage remaining intact. Partial Knee Replacements have had a chequered history of long term success but currently, it is believed that in the right patients with the right surgical expertise it can offer a superior solution ( in pain relief, function and an earlier recovery ) than a Total Knee Replacement with an equivalent longevity.

( I have been exposed to partial Knee replacements since the last 30 years and I even co-authored a landmark paper on this subject.
